I had a great class: seventeen students, mostly strong academically. I gave them a lot of work and most of them rose to the challenge. Turned out the final was quite a bit harder than I thought, so I graded both halves and gave them the better grade. Of course, half the class was excused from the final because they had As.
I just turned in grades today.
Maybe I will feel like I have relaxed tomorrow.

I could have had my students read some Middle English that they’d actually think was funny. (Don’t pick your nose in public!)

Caxton’s Book of Courtesy… Hmm. Didn’t know there was one. Probably the first self-help book published since it came out in 1477 and I think Caxton’s press started in 1476.
