Yes, cheating is bad. All academics agree with that. Some academics are stricter than others. Some fail a student when they have a single incidence of plagiarism. Some simply dock their grades. But a Middle Tennessee State U teacher got a little carried away in his attempt to stomp out cheating.
This WKRN news story says that he made students sign a pledge that if they cheated they would feel bad for the rest of their lives and spend eternity in hell.
Whew. Glad I wasn’t in that class and planning to cheat.
