Why Wikipedia Won’t Work for School

by Dr Davis on February 2, 2010

koalaSomeone thought that students would respond better if they could read a story about why Wikipedia doesn’t work for school. So they made one up. Based on Encyclopedia Brown, the intrepid hero of boys’ books, the story includes magic. Whatever you read on Wikipedia IS true in the story because putting it on Wikipedia makes it happen.

For a fun tale to demonstrate why you shouldn’t use Wikipedia (or why we are all glad it isn’t magic), see Wikipedia Brown and the Captured Koala.

Found because I read ProfHacker.
