You should post a syllabus or some sample assignments so others can see your topics and methods. It sounds like you (and your students) did a wonderful job of exploring diverse areas of the humanities and relating them to the students’ lives. Perhaps every student should have to take a course like this so that they can begin to see the value of a liberal education. I would be very interested in seeing some of the things you did.
